What kind of help do you need?
All of the job descriptions are located on the About page. There's a huge variety in the types of jobs we have available, so hopefully you'll find something that suits you. Remember, it's for a good cause!
Where do I go the morning of the event?
Volunteers will meet at UT-Southwestern, and we will be taking buses to go to T.J. Rusk, because we'd like to reserve the limited parking that's available for the public. The outdoor pavilion on the south campus will serve as our meeting point, but more information about the specifics will be going out to all the volunteers by email approximately one week prior to the event.
I might need to leave early or come late. Can I still volunteer?
Yes, absolutely! When you sign up for a shift on the sign up page, just let us know your plans in the comment box.
I might need to leave early. How often will buses come to get us from T.J. Rusk?
The buses will be coming back every five to ten minutes, so just factor that into your planning time.
I'm having trouble registering. Who do I talk to about that?
Please contact our volunteer coordinator, Nore Ojogun. She'll be able to help out.
Are people unaffiliated with UT-Southwestern allowed to volunteer?
Yes! There's a spot on the signup form for affiliation, and one of the answer choices is "None of the Above." Just select that choice when registering.
I'd like to help plan the event too. Who do I contact?
Well, it depends on what aspect you're interested in helping to plan. Here are some of the folks who are helping with the day's activities. If you're kind enough to want to help plan things, they'll have a job for you to do:
How often will the buses be commuting between schools?
The shuttle buses will be trafficking back and forth between UT-Southwestern and T.J. Rusk approximately every fifteen minutes, all day long.
When and where do the organizational sub-committees (the folks who are planning the event) meet?
Please see the Contact Us and contact the sub-committee leader directly for the specific meeting schedule.
